Kia Motors has released its very first EV vehicle, the Kia Ray EV. Unfortunately, this new Kia will only be available in Korea; however, it gives us an idea of what kinds of Kia EVs could eventually make their way to the U.S. The Kia Ray will have a range up to 86 miles and a super-fast charging time of only 25 minutes with the fast-charge option. Traditional charging can take up to six hours.

Kia had a great 2011 year; the company set its best-ever annual sales record. And, the bragging rights don't stop there. The Kia Optima was recently named "Autobytel 2012 Sedan of the Year." Autobytel editors explain that they chose the new Kia above hundreds of other vehicles due to its "head-turning design, roomy interior and outstanding fuel economy," as well as its "game-changing market potential, advances in design and overall performance and efficiency options."1 The editors also noted that the Optima really sets the bar for other sedan models on the market.

Kia Soul Hip Hop Hamsters Boost Sales

Kia Motors Named Official Automotive Partner of LPGA

Kia Motors America has hit a hole-in-one by partnering with the Ladies Pro Golf Association(LPGA).  Kia recently announced its union with the organization, which has named the South Korea-based company its "Official Automotive Partner of the LPGA" and "Official Tournament Vehicle" of eight LPGA tournaments, including the recent mid-November 2011 inaugural CME Group Titleholders Tournament. Sales Up This Year For Kia

Kia continues to surprise the press and car enthusiasts by consistently exceeding expectations. So, the latest news from Kia really shouldn't be all that shocking. In only nine months, Kia has beaten all of their previously sales records - with a few months left in the calendar year.
